The Kern County Superintendent of Schools (KCSOS) proudly serves as the Region 8 Technical Assistance Center (TAC) for California PBIS, supporting schools throughout Kern, Santa Barbara, Ventura, and San Luis Obispo counties.
Our mission is simple:
Ensure every school implementing Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) has the tools, training, and ongoing guidance needed for lasting success.
Through workshops, coaching, and consistent communication, we help educators strengthen their knowledge and practices—ultimately improving outcomes for all students.
As a regional hub, we work side-by-side with districts and schools to build capacity, align systems, and foster inclusive learning environments. By promoting evidence-based practices and data-driven decision-making, we empower teams to create positive school climates where every student can thrive—academically, socially, and emotionally.
